Choices & Consequences

On YOUTUBE, I had a very interesting conversation with another viewer of YOUTUBE. It was concerning women Preachers, Teachers, Pastors & so on.

My response:
What does the Word say? "God called me 2 this & to that" & it contradicts the Word? "I feel", "I heard", but did you read the Word? We R talking about Church order both historically & CURRENTLY. Man is head of the woman, that is scripture. Scripture does not say a woman can't teach & I don't see a prohibition to preach, but she is NOT 2 take that authority from or be over a man. U can twist and torture the text all U want, but God's order is solid. We R 1 in Christ, but he has order.

Your question does not match my statement. People have the so-called "right" to do what they want. However, what has been a failure in America is the teaching of consequences that are directly tied to those "rights". So, let's not confuse terms. People have the power of choice, but their choice does not make them right in God's eye (see Proverbs 14:12). God's Word is not built on American rights. It is built on His order & instructions. He is the King & His Word is the authority.

Who are you defending?!?!

I was recently looking at YOUTUBE videos featuring EX Ministries and the Truth Behind Hip-Hop . As I read the comments, I quickly realized that people were actually ignoring the data/message and were instead blindly defending hip-hop (Jay-Z to be specific)! I guess they can be called faithful servants to their cause...you agree? Ironically I was reading 2 Cor. 4 this morning and verse 4 describes what I witnessing. It reads: "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." I have to catch myself from time to time defending President Obama. I clearly supported him over McCain in the 2008 elections. However, I am not obligated to agree with everything he says and does. I think it is incredibly naive for any follower of Christ to believe this government or government officials will fit into what the Scripture says they should be like. As I read my Bible I find Scriptures describing the world as getting worse not better...of course until the Lord comes back. So, to defend and make excuses for politicians, actors, and/or, in this case, hip-hop artist is a slippery slope to walk up. I used to defend the hip-hop genre until I matured a little more & saw how it affected my attitude, my kid’s attitude & others as well. So much of it is very dangerous and is like ear crack. So, the question of the day is, WHO ARE YOU DEFENDING?
